About

Becky received her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Northern Iowa with a specialization in trauma-informed practice. She enjoys working with families and individuals of all ages. Most importantly, Becky wants her clients to feel valued, respected, and cared for while sitting in her office. She understands how scary and exposing the process of therapy can feel, and is honored to earn her clients’ trust in this. She finds value in using a compassionate, informal, and straight-forward approach. Becky is committed to helping her clients feel safe, heard, and understood by providing an open and non-judgmental space for them to be their true, authentic selves.

Becky takes a special interest in treating trauma. She also has experience in treating anxiety, depression, grief & loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life changes. She recognizes and appreciates her clients’ uniqueness and makes it a point to use an individualized approach based on their needs and goals. Some of the methods she practices include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Body-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Personally, her interests include reading, listening to music, kayaking, traveling, true crime, and spending time with her son, family, and friends.
