About
Nick earned a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University in 2022. Nick also holds a Masters degree in Theological Studies that he obtained from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2020.
Nick has had the honor of working with many teens, college-aged students, and adults of all ages as they've addressed issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors, anger, marriage, grief, and attachment. Nick's door is also open to those who struggle with various faith and church-related issues. Depending on a client's specific needs and the issues at hand, Nick operates with an integrative approach that pulls together aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Overall, Nick’s goal is to compassionately and patiently come alongside his clients, and he is deeply committed to helping his clients gain a thorough understanding of themselves while fostering healthy, fulfilling relationships with others. Nick considers his work as counselor to be a tremendous privilege, and he would love the opportunity to serve you.
Outside the counseling office, Nick enjoys God's grace toward him through being a husband, being a father to two wonderful little girls, enjoying good food, playing cards and games, and being active.
