About
My name is Sheila, and I am an intern at Candeo Counseling Center. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern College. After spending 23 years in education, I felt called to pursue a new path in counseling, where my passion lies in helping others feel seen, heard, and understood. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, empowering clients to take ownership of their journey toward wellness. Through empathy and compassion, I strive to create a collaborative, supportive atmosphere that nurtures healing and growth so my clients can live life to the fullest.
Outside of counseling, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my family and friends. We enjoy outdoor activities, playing games, and studying God’s word. Their love and influence have shaped who I am today, and I am deeply grateful for their influence on my life.
